My Dearest,
Each time I start writing this newsletter, it is bliss. It is Sunday morning on the shore of the East Coast, and I scratch and draw the laser prints I have selected for you.
The pleasure of doing art has something to do with masturbation. It sends me to alt worlds. Also, gimme big headache and intense joy. Let’s dive into this inky art.
A Darkest Black
These days, I am fully involved with
in the launch of Sin Street. As two frenzy artists, we are populating the place and reporting the scandals.Part of our job is to update a Sighting List, where we keep track of character profiles and the whereabouts of Sin Street residents. That’s what I am drawing today.
The faces gallery, which I named Sin Street Series, is a result, a mix, of AI image generator, laser print, China ink, acrylic paint, graphite pencil, and ballpoint pen.
I want to draw the darkest faces, to pay tribute to the incredible B&W work of Frank Miller, but also to Gomorrah, a 2008 Italian crime film directed by Matteo Garro.
I guess it is a legacy of the noir detective paperback covers I loved to see on my grandfather's bedroom nightstand — mostly tanned girls in bikinis with big guns.
Even if no one here spreads the legs or exhibits their attributes, I believe there is a big, fat erotic charge in these faces. Who are the hunters? Who are the preys? Both?
It is Sunday, and I love you. Thank you for offering me a place in the kinky part of your inner self. I will always feed you at the table of dirty, naughty drawings!
Love always ❤️
Sissi
